This year, every family is responsible for buying two sets of gifts: One for the child listed above, and one for each adult in the Pollyanna game to be held at the Christmas Eve dinner on Dec. 21. 

For the kids gift, aim for around $25. Please leave sizes and a few gift ideas NO LATER THAN Dec. 5. 

For the adults, you need one gift per adult in your family. Blankets are highly recommended. Everybody fights over the blankets each year. I'm not saying you have to buy at least one wacky blanket as your gift, but you will be judged accordingly. You do not have a specific person you're buying for, so think of things that would be appropriate for both Aunt Jul or Mike. You know what, don't think of things that are appropriate for Mike. That's just asking for trouble. Maybe things that are appropriate for Heidi instead. Aim for around $30.
